Fernbank Museum of Natural History

Have you been looking to take your children on an educational but FUN outing?

Try Fernbank Museum of Natural History

We absolutely love this museum! So many interactive exhibits to challenge young and old minds alike. When you pull up to this exquisite building... the first thing you see is these awesome dinosaur statues.. you know its going to be a good time!

I must admit our favorite part was the NatureQuest. Our toddler had a blast and was all over the place. This is a very hands-on and interactive permanent exhibit of the museum. They had everything from tree houses to snakes to a reading nook! This was a place even parents could enjoy as my family decided it would be fun to go over the "swinging bridge" to the tree house I realized.. I miss being a kid! We also read books and learned about the animals. It was definitely not something your children will outgrow anytime soon cause each time you go back there is something new to do and learn! This is a MUST DO! Parents must be with children at all times and they conveniently offer stroller parking and restrooms near by.

But that isn't the only interactive experience.. this whole museum is full of exciting adventures! Around every corner is something new and exciting.. we learned not only about dinosaurs but about Georgia history, sea life.. animals that are now extinct.. cultures.. and we particularly enjoyed making huge bubbles in the Reflections of Culture exhibit and fooling our son with the neat little "experiments".. and surprisingly on a Saturday this place wasn't very crowded so we were able to enjoy ourselves and with multiple floors I imagine its always easy to enjoy yourself and escape the crowds!

We luckily went during the Genghis Khan exhibit and oh man was he one scary guy BUT very interesting... and they had a very "bony" exhibit you guys should see.. ;)

Check out the cafe that offers affordable food and you can dine around the HUGE dinosaur bones!!
